COMMITMENT TO AUSTRALIA

Australian citizenship symbolises the unity as a nation. It represents a commitment to Australia and its people, the values we share and our common future.

COAT OF ARMS

The 2025 Australian Citizenship coin portrays the Commonwealth Coat of Arms, accompanied by the words AUSTRALIAN and CITIZENSHIP, and year-date.

The Coat of Arms consists of the badges of six States of the Commonwealth on a shield enclosed by an ermine border signifying Australian Federation in 1901. The crest of the Arms, including a seven-pointed star, appears above the shield, which is supported by a kangaroo and an emu.

AUSTRALIA-THEMED PRESENTATION CARD

The coin is presented in a coloured display card featuring the Australian flag and a representation of the five stars of the Southern Cross constellation. Incorporating a certificate of authenticity, the card features a fold-out stand for upright display.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as the British Royal Mint’s 3rd branch in Australia. The historical Hay Street location handled gold refining until moving to a modern facility in April 1990. Ownership of the mint was transferred to the Government of Western Australia in July of 1970. Under an agreement with the Commonwealth Treasury, they were empowered to mint and market gold, silver, and platinum as Australian legal tender to investors and collectors worldwide. Today, they are amongst the elite world mints whose pure gold, silver, and platinum items are trusted without question. Items such as the Australian Nugget, Silver Coin Series (Kangaroo, Kookaburra, Koala, and Platypus to name a few), as well as the Australian Lunar Gold and Silver Coin Series are extensively sought after by bullion investors worldwide.
